What the developer wrote
Cell and rival-lab behavior is controlled by small neural networks and neurosymbolic systems running in the game. They control behavior only and do not generate art, text, audio, or other content. AI coding tools help write and maintain code during development, including procedural shaders, features, and bug fixes. All work follows human designs and is reviewed by a human. Game design, artwork, music, and original English text are human-made. Some minor interface text, such as tooltips, may be drafted with AI from human-written references, then reviewed and edited. The game's translations were made with machine translation. Human review is planned, and players are encouraged to report translation issues. No AI-generated art or text is produced at runtime.
